SEMICON Russia – the only Semiconductor & PV platform to bring global industry together in Russia
• It is a joint platform for semiconductor and PV industries which have much in common in respect to materials, equipment and technologies.
• It has been a growing exhibition (80% growth in 2009 compare to 2008) even in the current circumstances of economy and business activities slow down WW.
• The exhibition is arranged at the time when Russia’s leadership for the first time in the latest period of it’s history set up a nation’s goal of the country overall modernization in all social, industrial and economic areas which “is a matter of Russia’s survival in the contemporary World” (from President Medvedev speech addressed to the Nation on Nov.12, 2009). With all this going on, the development of high tech industries including semiconductor and PV industries is the top priority.
Semiconductors, solar energy, optoelectronics and composite materials are among the current priorities of Rusnano (Russian State Nanotechnologes Corporation) who are a vehicle for the government to fund the most advanced projects.
Rusnano have already approved and funded 36 high tech projects with total investment volume of 93,8B rubles (2,12B Euro) in which Rusnano share is 52,4B rubles (1,18B Euro). The list of approved projects includes three semiconductor projects and three PV projects. The total list can be found on Rusnano website.
• SEMICON Russia doesn’t have any competitors on the territory of the former Soviet Union as it is the only Event in this region which is precisely focused on materials/equipment/technologies for semiconductor and PV device manufacturing. This makes participation in our Event the most effective as all the participants and visitors are specialized and focused in the same area.
